Back to Blogging

It's been a really long time since I've posted, so I have a lot to write about.

The last few weeks in Ohio were really busy for me. My aunt and uncle came to visit and I  took them to my favorite places: Northstar & Bodega. We had a great time! Here's my Aunt Deb & I at Bodega:

Then my cousin Ryan came to Columbus to take me to the botanical gardens. They were incredible. I wish I had known about them when the weather was really bad, it really would have cut down on the Seasonal Affective Disorder I was experiencing. They had tons of orchids on exhibit and lots of Chihuly pieces. It was incredible!
The first Chihuly I got to experience!

The next weekend my cousin Jessica came in from Florida for the baby shower for her and Baby Rio! Lots of the family came up, including my mom & sister and my brother's fiance Allie! We made cupcakes with a sea life theme and a very pretty fruit centerpiece. My cousin Mandy did most of the best looking cupcakes! Here's a taste of what we made:

On my last weekend my Aunt Carol and I went to the Columbus Zoo, home of Jack Hanna. I LOVE the ZOO!
There was an underwater viewing area for the polar bears and this guy landed right on top of where I was standing! It scared me to death, but it was super cool!
There was a room where they give you nectar and you can feed these really pretty birds...they walk right onto your hands to get some!

When I left, all the flowers were in full bloom. Sad that I missed some of the best weather in Ohio, but happy to go back home!

  1. Chihuly is amazing! My mom and I saw one of his exhibits in Nashville last summer! We loved it!
