Moving In

Mom, my brother John, sister Becca, Tucker & me all hopped into the car and drove out to Colorado. After we got all my stuff moved in, we did as much sightseeing as possible, here's what we saw:

Garden of the Gods in the fog.

 Kissing Camels...*muah*

Jonathan & Mom at one of the rock formations

We got rained on a little at Garden of the Gods, but it was worth it for the double rainbow we got to experience!
Last look at the rainbow between the trees
Me looking at the Balanced Rock

John & Becca...this was in front of the restaurant in Manitou Springs
 At the Stagecoach restaurant

The Cog train at the top of Pikes Peak...it hailed on us close to the top & you couldn't see a thing through all that fog.
On the way back down Pike's Peak after the storm.

We spent a day in Denver and saw some sculptures on the roof of the art museum
And some really pretty flowers

I'll leave you with some boulders from Pike's Peak

Colorado

This is going to be a short post because it's late and I have to be at work early tomorrow. Have I ever mentioned how lame I am on weeknights? I just wanted to let everyone know that I am alive and loving it out here in Colorado Springs!

I made it to Colorado after the longest, most boring drive EVER through Kansas. I don't recommend it. (no offense to anyone from Kansas) Tucker, my kitty, did awesome on the drive out...I was so proud of him!

So far I've been to the top of Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, I got lost one day and ended up on top of Cheyenne Mountain on a dirt road with amazing views, hot air balloon fun, the first Air Force Academy home game with my coworkers (they lost, but we still had a good time!), & hiking to Helen Hunt falls with some friends.

Above are some views of my apartment. The top one is the living room. I realize the fabric on top of the coffee table doesn't match, but it's a work in progress. I got crafty & made the paisley pillowcases on the couch...more craftiness to come! Can you fine the kitty in the pictures? The bottom one is my fireplace with my totally rockin clock hanging over it!

I am loving my job! My coworkers are amazing and every day I look out the gym window at the beautiful front range of the Colorado Rockies.

I can't believe I live here. It is soooo beautiful and I want everyone to come visit and see for themselves!
